Around Manukesa
The village of Manukesa is a peaceful farming village 35 km from the thriving city of Singaraja. In Singaraja you can find shops, bakeries, restaurants, fresh food markets and anything you may need.
All throughout the village grow fertile rice and tobacco fields. fresh papaya, mangoes, palms, cacao, vanilla, mangosteen, cloves, breadfruit, jackfruit, salak (snakefruit), cashews and many more.
Ten minutes away is the spectacular "Sekumpul" waterfall. When you hike the 350 steps to the glorious mouth of the falls, you will agree that it is not only the most beautiful waterfall in Bali, but one of the most beautiful in the world.
Forty kilometres north are the black sand beaches of Lovina. Lovina boasts many restaurants, art galleries, snorkeling, watersports and opportunities to watch and swim with dolphins.
You can easily arrange day trips to a Buddhist Temple, the famous lakes of central Bali and several hot springs. Also nearby are workshops where you can watch the intruiging process of handmade gong and gamelan making.
